Because all big life events deserve a photo shoot....

Since you are only pregnant with your first once coupled with the fact that we will be leaving New England soon we decided that we needed to take some photos to remember this special time in our lives and our time here. It had rained all week so we were so lucky to finally be able to get outside to take these by the beach. We are so excited how they turned out!

A special thanks to our fabulous photographer, Cara Sedgwick. She was so much fun to work with and we can't wait to do our newborn pictures with her!

The wedding and the hurricane

For months our fabulous friends PJ and Tiffeny have been planning their wedding and as things with weddings often happen they hit a little bit of a weather snag...in the form of hurricane Earl. Bad luck? Nah, it was an amazing day and with a few modifications a truly gorgeous wedding. Both PJ and Tiffeny took the weather in stride and didn't let the stormy weather bother their special day a single bit, they were so happy to get married that a few drops of rain was not going to ruin it. In the end the hurricane passed us with little more than some rain and we got some amazing pictures outside in front of the huge waves in Newport. I think it goes to show that if you take things as they come and don't let it ruin your good time, the weather gods will smile down on you! :)

Congratulations PJ and Tiffeny!!

The Coyers all dressed up. I've reached the 'puffy' part of my pregnancy. I'm really thrilled about it. :/

The boys. ::swoon ;)::

The happy couple!

I personally think their professional pictures will come out way cooler than if they wed on a sunny day. I guess sometimes getting married during a hurricane is not such a bad thing :)

It really was a wonderful night filled with love and good friends.

Full Term!!!

Ding! This baby is cooked!

It is such a relief to know that if this sweet little critter were to come today, he is ready for the world. Though my due date is still 3 weeks away we are beginning to get so excited! We can't believe we will soon have a sweet little son!

Todd is carrying his cell phone with him everywhere and is on high alert and pretty much everyone (Todd, friends, coworkers) have made me promise to stay within a 15 mile radius of the hospital, they even begin to get a little antsy if I disappear for any length of time longer than 20 minutes. Though I've promised not to give birth alone in a corner somewhere they are all extremely concerned of my whereabouts when I resurface. Too cute. :)

3 weeks to go!

Say What?!?!

I guess Coyer baby watch 2010 is starting!

Went to the doctor for my usual boring blood pressure/weigh in appt and he alerted us that we have made progress already! 2cm and 80% effaced at 36 weeks! Said it could be today or 5 weeks from now but we should get ready for sooner than later...umm what?!?!

This was not news Todd took lightly. When I got home later on that evening from work he had the entire nursery cleaned, assembled, organized, monitors set up and tested and completely ready for baby. He even packed the diaper bag. I could not be in love with him more.

So now we wait. We are officially full term in 2 days but our little guy is more than welcome to stay in there a few weeks longer ;) I guess we'll see!

Hail to the Commissary....

And their need to inappropriately stock Halloween candy way too early ::please refer to date of post::.

Today this pregnant chicks all time candy craving dream was plucked out of my fantasy world and brought to reality when I walked into our friendly commissary and saw bags upon bags of my favorite sugary treat, candy corn, staring right back at me. Seriously they might as well have been sparkling.

I won't bore you with the gory details that ensued but shortly thereafter I may or may not have been seen driving off base, cackling madly while feverishly stuffing fists full of these delicious treats in my mouth.

Pathetic? maybe. Worth it? Totally.

Yum.
