She's here!!!

Todd and I are now a proud Aunt and Uncle!

After being on babywatch for well over the last two weeks we would like to officially introduce our beautiful niece (and most likely coolest kid on the planet), Miss Ella Paige!

Today my beautiful sister Erin and her fabulous husband, Adam proved that they can cook up a seriously gorgeous little baby girl! Shes so beautiful!

Beautiful Ella with her beautiful mama!

Seriously, only my sister could look stunningly beautiful after giving birth.

With her proud new grandparents

Grandma and Ella. How can you not just want to kiss and hug that little angel?

Grandpa and Ella. We've already heard rumors that grandpa is smitten.

Little cutie's first car ride home.

Seriously, we're dying over here, how can you not just love her?!?!

Welcome to the world little Ella.
You have been born into a family that loves you more than you will ever know, your Aunt and Uncle definitely do!

Take me out to the ball game...

Fenway Stadium has been on our bucket list since we've been here but we've never actually dragged our lazy bums out to a game....until today. We both love baseball and LOVE going to games but to be quite honest, the Sox are not our team. Mariners, Dodgers or Angels...now those are teams we can get behind. Anyhoo, we decided to put our loyalties aside for the day and hit up Fenway. Of course in the Coyer world another sporting event = more coresponding baseball hats and shirts, hey if youre going to defy your own beloved team you might as well do it big right? Right.

Getting ready to head out.

Cute hubs

Rocking a little baby bump.

Marty introducing Wallie to Baby C.

All the guys that Todd works with already love our little guy. They talk to him, tell him about all the fun things they are going to do together, its so cute! Everytime the Red Sox hit a homerun both Todd and Marty gave Baby C a fist bump. Too cute!

View from our seats. Fenway is much smaller than the stadiums I'm used to. There really are no bad seats.

hi ya!

The fabulous Martys

And of course a belly shot. 19 weeks!

We had the best time, the Red Sox won, we danced, we sang, we ate more nachos, popcorn, peanuts and hot dogs than ever necessary. We can't wait to go back!

It's a....

BOY!

...And according to Todd a rather impressive one. :) I don't think not finding out the gender was an option because the minute the technician put the wand on my belly...

BAM....Boy. Our kiddo is not shy.

Other than getting the money shot we also verified that all the ingredients to make a perfect little guy are present and accounted for and measuring right on time for a September 19th ETA. He's a perfectly healthy little Coyay!

Of course Todd and I are super excited. I come from an immediate and extended family of mostly girls so its about time to mix it up. Within hours of finding out that we are having a little man, Todd had rattled off a variety of sports that he will play, Boy Scouts, potential colleges and how he can't wait to teach this little one how to treat a lady. Baby C is going to be busy! :)

We are so in love! We can't wait to meet our son!

Whoa I have arrived...

or at the very least my chest has! After years of praying in high school for a fuller figure, the universe has finally responded and I'm pretty sure we are not done yet. The only thing that is rivaling my...um...new enhancements is a belly that has reached size huge (in my mind) already. While I can't say that the newly augmented Shan has gone unnoticed (I'm pretty sure Todd stopped looking at my face weeks ago), I miss my pre-pregnancy figure. :( With only 16 weeks down and millions (or 24) to go, I can only imagine what this once cute figure will morph into.

On the cute side, between breaks from his, uh, intrigue, Todd can't stop rubbing my belly. It's so cute to see him so excited. We can't wait for this little cutie to start moving around!

Regardless of all these changes that are happening, I know it will all be worth it in the end so I am just going to go with the flow. Plus I heard things will more or less go back to where they were before (right? right?!?), so I don't mind waiting another 6 (ish) months to see my waist again. So carry on baby C, do whatever you need to do. :)

16 weeks and counting!

And baby makes three...

Todd and I had decided a few months ago that maybe it was time to add a bambino to the family. We knew it was time when basically every other sentence we spoke involved our future kiddos in some way or another, we were excited. Not wanting to put to much pressure on ourselves we decided to just let things happen and with the holidays all but forgot about it. It wasn't until mid January while I was sitting at work, realized that something very punctual was mysteriously missing. Seeing that Beerfest was just two days away, I figured I would just take a test, get a negative and be well on my way to consuming mass quantities of beer. Not wanting to get Todd's hopes up for what was probably nothing, I decided to wait until the next morning to test.

4 am the next day after Todd left for work, I could not wait anymore, ran to the bathroom and got this within seconds:

holy $%@#!

Totally in shock and shaking, I somehow waited until a respectable time before running to the Navy Clinic where the doctor promptly confirmed that we indeed had a little one on the way. :)

Now I would like to say that I came up with a cute way to tell Todd that he was about to become a dad but sadly I didn't. I just came home and blurted it out like a crazy person. Todd just laughed, hugged me then rubbed my belly and said 'welcome to the family'. :)

Now without further adieu, we would like to share our sweet little growing munchkin, who thanks to a doctor that loves his ultrasound machine is already very well photographed!

Baby Coyer at 6 weeks

At 8 weeks

10 weeks...

And his or her excited mama at 12 weeks :)

We can't wait to meet this little critter in September!

sidenote: Contrary to Beerfest photos and any subsequent event where it looks like I am cocktailing, I can assure you I am not. I have traded my wine for prenatal vitamins so its nothing but seltzer for this girl! :)

Oh Canada!

We are in Canada!! Since our time in New England is coming to a close, Todd and I are in a mad rush to see everything we can. We've been talking about visiting our friendly neighbors to the north for quite some time and since my parents were coming to visit we thought this was the perfect opportunity. Once I told my history buff Dad and husband that Quebec had a walled city our destination was set, we were Quebec City bound!

We set off from Newport on Friday and after a quick night in Vermont we were headed for the border. After long stretches of not seeing my parents I notice more and more how much I am like them. Don't get me wrong this is a good thing, they are awesome but as I have said many times, patience is a virtue that I have never possessed and I learned on this trip it also appears to not be a strong virtue of my dads. Upon arriving at the border, the Canadian border guards asked us to step out of our vehicle so they could do some 'background checking' on our passports. 30 minutes passed with no word. We began to worry. Then my dad, growing a little antsy, went up to the border guard and with good nature asked if perhaps Canada was closed that day. The humor did not translate. We spent another 30 minutes waiting but this time were convinced that my dad had black listed us from the country. Luckily they decided to let us in and were happily on our way.

Quebec City is gorgeous and has the charm of any quaint European city with its cobblestone streets, churches and sidewalk cafes. We spent the next two days soaking in the atmosphere and touring this historic city. We cannot wait to try to come back in the summer!
